Hello! I’m Sophia Kieri, a licensed acupuncturist serving Almaden Valley and the greater San Jose area. My journey in healing intertwines Traditional Chinese Medicine, spiritual practice, and a deep reverence for the cycles of life. I blend acupuncture, manual therapies, and meditation to create treatments that feel both rooted and integrative.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University (San Jose) and am currently pursuing a Doctorate at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (Oakland). Since 2019, my study of Taoism and Buddhism has been transformative—guiding me toward stillness, compassion, and the wisdom that resides within change. Inspired by my teachers, I often weave their quotes into practice, gently reminding others of their own inner light and capacity to awaken.

I consider your well-being to be a shared journey—not a prescription. My approach is rooted in presence, curiosity, and listening: honoring your story, your nervous system, and your inherent capacity to heal.

Whether we’re navigating perimenopausal changes, orthopedic pain, or stress & anxiety, I meet you with compassion, grounded wisdom, and openness.

This is me—inviting you into a healing space where you can be seen, supported, and whole.

My Methods

Acupuncture & Trigger Needling

Acupuncture uses thin, sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body, restoring balance and promoting natural healing.

Trigger point needling targets tight muscle knots to release tension, improve mobility, and relieve pain.

Meditation

Meditation focuses on breathwork and mindfulness to calm the mind and center the body. It supports stress reduction, emotional balance, and an overall sense of well-being, making it an essential tool for holistic health.

Cupping and Gua Sha

Cupping uses gentle suction to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and ease muscle tension.

Gua Sha involves using smooth tools to apply pressure along the skin, promoting blood flow and reducing stagnation. Both techniques help the body recover and feel revitalized.

Chinese Herbal therapy

Chinese herbal therapy uses plant-based formulas tailored to individual needs to restore balance and address specific health concerns. It supports digestion, immunity, hormonal health, and emotional well-being as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
